The United Nations Office at Nairobi offers professional therapeutic counselling service to all members of staff of United Nations and their dependants regardless of grade and contract type.
Who provides Staff Counselling Service?
Staff counselling service at the United Nations Office at Nairobi is offered by a qualified professional counselling psychologist. The service aims at providing staff members with an opportunity to access professional therapeutic counselling service, so that they may better explore and develop their potentials and fulfil their personal and work related goals thus in so doing improve their personal lives and work productivity.
Contacting the Staff counsellor?
The United Nations Staff Stress Management Counselling service office is located in Block F room 119.

If you are in an emergency situation contact the Staff Stress Management Counsellor through the UNON Security office, whose number appears at the back of your ground pass. This office will respond to your distress and link you up with the Staff Stress Management Counsellor.
How are the counselling sessions scheduled?
Counselling sessions are scheduled according your preference at the time of booking and bookings are done on first come first served basis. However if you are in a crisis you may request for the nearest counselling slot available.
Counselling Sessions are organized as follows:
Monday: 10.30am - 4.00pm.
Tuesday to Thursday: 8.30am – 4.00pm.
Friday: 8.00am to 2.00pm.
A counselling session takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour or sometimes less. The UN staffs’ counselling service aims to offer appropriate help as quickly and as conveniently as possible.
